TOWN HALL FORUM #2
Do you or your friends complain about government, taxes, law enforcement, politicians, and such? Do you write letters to the editors of newspapers or call in to talk radio shows to voice your opinion? Then here is an opportunity you will not want to pass up.
Area 53 Toastmasters will be hosting Town Hall Forum on Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. at Hermitage Police Precinct on James Kay Lane (across from Hermitage Library). Citizens are invited to speak up on the theme The Purpose of Taxation: Is it Working? Should It Be Changed? You may call to be placed on the agenda or simply show up and speak impromptu. We want to hear what the average citizen has to say about direct and indirect taxation.
Speakers who have confirmed are:
Senator Mae Beavers, House member of the 99th through 102nd General Assemblies and Past Assistant Republican Floor Leader
Mark Christopher (you may know him as a frequent radio talk-show caller!)
Joey King, Secretary of the Libertarian Party of Tennessee and Chair of the LP of Rutherford County will present information on Taxation and The Bill of Rights
Toastmasters Tom Pritchard, Howard Meek, Gary LaRoy, Dr. John Lloyd & Pat Sharp
I encourage you to call a friend, invite them to attend or speak at the Town Hall Forum, and begin changing things for the better. Take this opportunity to fellowship, exercise your freedom of speech, hear what your fellow citizens have to say, and become involved in your community.
It’s time to reclaim your voice!!
