The LPTN is proud to sponser the 'Reunion and FunRaiser' -- Nashville Coliseum - Sat. June 26 6-10PM

Tennessee Tax Revolt, Inc. today announced the Hornhonkers Reunion and FunRaiser. The event will take place in Nashville under the big tent in Parking lot R at the Titans Stadium in downtown Nashville on Saturday June 26 from 6 until 10 PM. This event will bring together the “horn honkers” and opponents of the state income tax for some fun times and will help fund a new statewide Taxpayer Alert System so Tennessee Taxpayers can be alerted to tax increase votes at the local and state level.

Speakers will include Talk Radio Hosts Phil Valentine and Steve Gill who were instrumental in rallying taxpayers to come to the state Capitol to protest the income tax. Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn, who was a State Senator during the income tax debate, will also speak. State Senator Mae Beavers has also committed to attend if her medical treatment allows.

Tickets to the event are $25 per person until June 14 and $35 thereafter. BBQ dinner is included. Tickets may be purchased online at www.TnTaxRevolt.org or by calling 615-847-8050. Everyone who opposes the state income tax is invited. Everyone who would like to help create a new taxpayer alert system is invited. “Tennessee Taxpayers pay the bills for government and their voice should be heard” said Ben Cunningham, a spokesman for TTR. “Taxing and spending decisions are too often dominated by the 400 lobbyists at the state Capitol and all the groups and vendors that live off of the taxpayer’s hard earned money. The new TTR taxpayer alert system will allow taxpayers to be part of the debate.”

Tennessee Tax Revolt, Inc is an all-volunteer, non-profit, non-partisan taxpayer advocacy group that was formed during the state income tax debate. No member or officer of TTR receives any compensation or salary of any kind. “We all do this as an investment in the future for our children and grandchildren” said Rick Durham, President of TTR. “Taxpayers have been shut out of the debate for too long.”

Groups or candidates that would like to help sponsor the event are invited to contact TTR at 615-847-8050.

The official Radio Media sponsor of the event is SuperTalk 99.7 WWTN.
