LIBERTARIAN PARTY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE BADNARIK TO BE IN KNOXVILLE JULY 1

Michael Badnarik, Libertarian Party candidate for President will be in Knoxville to speak about his plans for the upcoming election season. He will speak at the Mandarin House at 314 Merchants Drive from noon until 2. He also will be available to answer questions from the general public and the media.

Several observers think that the Libertarian Party candidate could take a sizable number of votes from President Bush, costing him the election. Lawrence Jacobs, Director of the 2004 Elections Project at the University of Minnesota in a cbs.com article on May 21 stated that "The Libertarians will impact Republicans more than Nader will impact Democrats."

After the appearance, Badnarik will travel to the Tri-Cities for a Citizens for Smaller Government rally and a fundraising appearance at the House of Ribs in Johnson City.

Badnarik's travel schedule and itinerary can be seen at his web site. The address is: http://www.badnarik.org/

The Libertarian Party was founded on December 11th, 1971 and is the third largest political party in the U.S. The Libertarian Party believes in a free-market economy and the abundance and prosperity it brings; a dedication to civil liberties and personal freedom that marks this country above all others; and a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade as prescribed by America's founders.
