The Libertarian Party of Tennessee

The LPTN joined 5 Middle Tennesse metal bands for a furious freedom fest.

On Friday, August 6, The Libertarian Party of Tennessee was proud to be part of "Mosh the Vote", a unique event that combined furious performances by five of Middle Tennessee's top metal bands with political outreach and awareness. Bill Bolen and Jon Wright represented the LPTN at the event, which was held at the White Bluff Community Center.

Libertarianism and Metal are a natural fit, with both groups sharing mutual values of independence, freedom, individualism, and a general distaste for authority. Perhaps that's why no other Tennessee party bothered to show up!

(It's probably also a safe bet the only elected official present at the recent Ozzfest was Wilson County Commissioner & LPTN vice-chair Heather Scott... augmented by LPTN webmaster & Davidson chair Jon Wright, who's still upset that Slayer didn't play "Angel of Death"... )

Maybe the Democrats and Republicans don't think the metal vote matters, or maybe they just recognize that metalheads don't want either one of their brands of oppression. Whatever the case, the Libertarian Party is proud to support this community, and always ready to join you in the pit.
